Miley Cyrus to kick off ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ season 11 as guest judge

“RuPaul’s Drag Race” announced some iconic guest judges for season 11, including singer Miley Cyrus who will appear in the season’s premiere episode as a guest judge. LGBTQ entertainers Lena Waithe, Troye Sivan, Wanda Sykes and Adam Rippon are among the list of names who will appear as guest judges this season.

Cyrus made the announcement in a Twitter post and can be heard the the new season’s trailer saying she’s “freaking out” while sitting at the judge’s table.

Chris Pine lip syncs for his life in ‘Drag Race’ skit on ‘SNL’

Chris Pine lip-synched for his life in a skit on “Saturday Night Live” that featured a group of mechanics that are secret fanboys of “RuPaul’s Drag Race.”

Pine, who plays mechanic Marcus, casually brings up that he had been watching “RuPaul’s Drag Race” and the rest of the gang jump in with plenty of “Drag Race” factoids. Eventually, Kenan Thompson’s character says, “Who do we think we’re kidding? Let’s just be honest. We watch ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ and we love it.”

The rule with comedy is pretty simple: it has to be funny. Though the family here is under-defined, and the journey isn’t at all surprising – everything is merely a setup for a gag instead of having an actual plot – there are plenty of laughs in this Orlando-based two-hour skit.

For example: when the two drunken sisters meet O-town’s finest, one slurs, “Officer Donuts, why don’t you jump back into your squad car and go save a kitten up a tree, because these pussies are fiiiinne.”
