Olympic medal-winning figure skater Adam Rippon turned 30 on Nov. 11, and he took to the ice to celebrate.

He decided to commemorate his milestone by shooting a video of himself dancing a “birthday joy skate.”

‘The Politician’ season two begins filming

Ben Platt announced on Twitter Nov. 5 that production for season two of the Netflix series “The Politician” is underway.

The series stars out actor Platt as Payton Hobart, a high school student determined to become the president of the United States, but starting smaller by running for class president. Throughout the first season, Payton must navigate the politics of his Santa Barbara high school and attempts to cultivate and maintain his perfect presidential image.

Netflix has released the first trailer for Ryan Murphy’s first series for the streaming platform, “The Politician.”

The show follows Payton Hobart (Ben Platt) an ambitious high school student who plans to make his way up the political ladder to the White House. In the meantime, he hopes to win class president. He will stop at nothing to become president including getting rid of problematic running mates and scheming against his rivals.

“Dear Evan Hansen” and Bette Midler reigned over the 71st annual Tony Awards on Sunday raking in wins, and in Midler’s case, giving an unconventional acceptance speech.

Lin-Manuel Miranda presented the award for Best Musical to the breakout production about teen suicide. “Dear Evan Hansen” received awards for Best Score, Book, Orchestrations, Featured Actress in a Musical and Leading Actor in a Musical, totaling six awards for the night.
