Idina Menzel has the billion-dollar voice – that is billion with a “B.” It is in no small part because of that voice singing the hit song “Let It Go” that Disney’s Oscar-winning animated musical Frozen became the highest-grossing animated film of all time with a $1.2 billion worldwide box-office showing. Menzel’s powerful vocals in Wicked also began that Broadway musical’s ascension over the billion-dollar mark, which it crossed in 2016, only the third time that feat has been accomplished on Broadway.

The Tony-winning Broadway icon released her fifth studio album, Idina., in September 2016, starred in Lifetime’s remake of Beaches and will soon begin recording the voice of Queen Elsa for the much anticipated animated sequel, Frozen 2.

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) – For television actress Busy Philipps, campaigning for Hillary Clinton isn’t always glamorous.

The star of Dawson’s Creek and Freaks and Geeks pitched in recently in Iowa. But she wasn’t addressing giant rallies or hosting big-ticket fundraisers. Instead, the exuberant blonde spoke to about 20 women in the cavernous Des Moines skywalk, encouraging them to vote early on their lunch break.

The inimitable – except by just about every drag queen in the WORLD – Barbra Streisand has announced that she will be gracing the Sunshine State with her glorious presence on Nov. 30. We don’t even know where are feelings are about this. Well, we do, but we don’t know if we can afford our feelings. A friend just told us that the last time he saw Barbra, it was, effectively, the best $2,000 anyone ever spent on him, so luxurious the moment.

Fortunately, the tickets in the case range from $99 to $510 (cheap!) and will go on sale Sept. 29. Ladies and gentlemen, THAT IS NEXT WEEK. Grab your Princes and your Tides and your WALLETS so that you can somehow nab a ticket from the AMALIE Arena’s ticket office, Ticketmaster outlets or on Ticketmaster.com. If you’re a little feeble with your Jitterbug, you can also call 800-745-3000. We are dying. That is all.

This was an hour of heaven! Carla Del Villaggio came out from behind the curtain looking and sounding like Barbra Streisand, from the laugh and giggle to the hand and head movements it was just like watching the actual diva herself.

Del Villaggio owned the stage telling stories and singing songs, it was as if I was watching her on Broadway. She sang with pitch perfect accuracy songs from Funny Girl, A Star Is Born and even a duet of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” with her idol, Judy Garland.
