Florida man robbed at gunpoint in Grindr app setup

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (AP) — Florida police say a man thought he was going on a date set through an app, but instead was attacked and robbed at gunpoint.

Police say a 21-year-old Taborice Lee Foster lured his target using Grindr, a dating app for gay men. When the victim arrived to his home in Panama City, Foster and another man attacked him, pointing a gun from behind while searching the date’s pockets and stealing his wallet.

Indonesia urges app to remove LGBT content amidst social media backlash

Jakarta, Indonesia (AP) – Indonesia’s government has demanded that instant messaging apps remove stickers featuring same-sex couples, in the latest high-profile attempt to discourage visible homosexuality in the socially conservative country.

The government move comes after a social media backlash against the popular smartphone messaging app Line for having stickers, which are an elaborate type of emoticon, with gay themes in its online store.

Orlando was well represented this past holiday weekend in Fort Lauderdale during the 20th Annual Hurricane Showdown Softball Tournament.
The Orlando Sliders were the big winners for the D division. Over the same weekend, Fort Lauderdale was also host to their very first ever Fort Lauderdale Gay Days. Reports say the inaugural event wasn’t nearly as well attended as Gay Days Orlando or Gay Days Vegas.

The Barber fund that helps those living with cancer, honoring John “Tweeka” Barber is benefiting from some funny fundraisers. On Dec. 8, Miss Comedy Queen Holiday Spectacular, Tweeka was a former Miss Comedy Queen. And on Dec. 19, a Fringe Festival Pepe returns with a slew of his “beetches.
