Florida AG Pam Bondi files suit against defunct Legendary Journeys, ‘Al and Chuck’

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. | Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi filed legal action against Legendary Journeys, Inc., owner/president Adrian L. Ferguson, Jr. and vice president Charles T. Scott Aug. 21, alleging the defunct travel agency owes consumers over $3 million.

Defendants Ferguson and Scott, commonly known as Al and Chuck, operated the LGBTQ-friendly, Sarasota-based travel agency and its statewide branches until its abrupt closure Oct. 24, 2017. According to the complaint, the duo “deceptively and unfairly collected millions of dollars from consumers for the supposed purpose of booking travel but failed to deliver on the promised trips or to issue refunds to their customers.”

In the middle of the night on June 12, 2016, documentarian and filmmaker Sandi Hulon was doing the same thing as many of us throughout Orlando, Tampa Bay and across the world: sitting with eyes glued to the TV in horror as we watched the outside of Pulse nightclub covered in blinking blue and red lights from emergency vehicles on the national news.

There was a shooting. By the morning we would know that 49 were killed and 53 injured in the nation’s worst mass shooting in modern times. But in those early hours, waiting to find out what happened, we got the identity of the first confirmed victim. He was a 34-year-old male from Sarasota. His name was Eddie Sotomayor.

Fashion designer, Marco Marco put on one hell of a runway show for L.A. Fashion Week on Oct. 18. The runway show even went viral thanks to the voluptuous Dexter Mayfield and the teen who gave the fierce shade, Brendan Jordan. The show featured what seemed like an endless amounts of hot boys, club kids and gender-bending performers and trans-women. One such model in the line-up was Orlando’s own Sassy Devine. This was Sassy’s second year walking for Marco Marco. Sassy was joined by former Orlando resident and former RuPaul’s Drag Race contestant Detox and many more!
