The Big Gay Prom coming to Parliament House Orlando

ORLANDO | Did your first prom not go as well as you would like? Did you not even go to your high school prom?!?! Well the Parliament House wants to fix that and give the LGBTQ community a second chance at it with its first Big Gay Prom on June 30.

The Big Gay Prom will take place in the Parliament House’s Disco from 8-10 p.m. and will bring the full prom experience including the crowning of Prom King and Queen, decorations, high school-themed performances, music and a professional photographer taking prom pictures.

The season two runner-up shaded Catie Turner for forgetting the lyrics during her performance of “Manic Monday” by The Bangles. Instead of criticizing Turner for the flub, the judges praised her for pulling through the song.

Ada Vox eliminated from ‘American Idol’ after Disney performance

“American Idol” contestant Ada Vox brought all three judges out of their seats, and Katy Perry to her knees, with a rendition of “Feeling Good” by Nina Simone.

“Wig flew. You are here to win,” Perry commented on the performance. Luke Bryan praised Vox for “bringing the house down” and Ritchie said Vox is “a force to be reckoned with.”

Former ‘American Idol’ contestant returns to compete in drag

A former “American Idol” contestant returned to audition as their drag queen persona on Sunday night’s episode.

Adam Sanders first auditioned for the reality competition series in season 12 when he was 19 years old. Sanders was cut after making it to the top 50.
