Vote for my ’Stach!

No offense to my friends out there who wear or have worn moustaches, or my friends who get all twitterpated when they see a man with one, but I’ve always found them a bit silly. It’s just this thing kind of floating in the middle of your face.

I still rue the day when Disney started to allow employees to grow them because I knew several people would just do it because they could. I’ll never forget the first time I witnessed a mustachioed Disneyite, he was hosting at the Hall of Presidents -- which happens to be my all-time favorite Disney attraction, for some reason. I couldn’t watch anything besides that protrusion on his upper lip.

So it might amuse you to find out that I will be growing a moustache during the month of November! I’ll be participating in Movember, an international charity event held during the month of November to raise awareness and funds for men’s health. While I haven’t known anyone personally who had prostate or testicular cancer, prostates and testicles have played an important role in my life. All kidding aside, the statistics are daunting, and our help is needed.

As we get closer to November 1, I’ll give you more information, but for now there is an important decision to be made: What style of moustache will Scottie grow?  I’ve consulted with costume designer extraordinaire and “moustache professional” Bobby Tilley in New York City, and he has offered valuable advice. Various friends have offered their two-cents as well, including one who proclaimed, “You are not growing a moustache! Ew!” But I thought, wouldn’t it be fun to put this whole thing to a vote?

Here’s the deal. I’ve narrowed it down to the four styles you see here:
