UPDATE! Full event schedule - in both Tampa and Orlando - now online.

UPDATE! More information on Tampa events.

UPDATE! The ACLU, Equality Florida and Freedom to Marry are also involved, including two Sunday "Celebrate Our Families" events in Orlando and Tampa. Both will include sneak previews of the new documentary "In Anita's Wake: The Irrational War on Florida's Gay Families," with a Q&A session afterward featuring Equality Florida's Nadine Smith, ACLU's Shelbi Day and documentary-maker Vicki Nantz.

The National Organization for Marriage (NOM) anti-gay-marriage bus tour appears to be shifting its Florida stop from Tampa to Orlando. Anthony Farver from Stand Up Florida reports that an inside source from NOM revealed that because of Stand Up Florida’s planned protests at the Aug. 8 event, NOM organizers have decide to move it to Orlando.

The tour schedule on NOM’s website confirms that there is no longer a Tampa stop, but an Orlando stop has been scheduled for Aug. 8. Time is set for 2 – 3 p.m. and NOM speakers are listed but specific location is still listed as “to be announced.”

Kevin Boyer, media director for Stand Up Florida, said NOM “could be playing tricks on us and trying to throw us off.”

He said either way, if the NOM bus stops in Orlando or Tampa, they’ll have a protests set up. The Tampa events will remain as planned, and a full agenda of events in both cities will be released tonight, Boyer said.

I'd bet anything that douchebag Stemberger will be there to speak about how he penned Ammendment 2. Douche.

I read on the Stand Up Florida website that the counter-protest will conclude with the singing of Amazing Grace. I find this unfortunate. The argument should be about equality of rights under the law, not about whose interpretation of the bible is correct. What about the atheists, agnostics and non-Christians among us? I, for one, really don't want to debate the bible. Or, perhaps, is Stand Up Florida in agreement with the Right-Wing that this is a "Christian nation?"
