Equality groups protesting church

Stand Up Florida and the Queer Activist Coalition are teaming up for a “Silent Protest” at Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville on Jan. 10.
According to Dove World’s web site, the church’s philosophy includes getting people to “stand up,” because “Christians must return to the truth and stop hiding. We need to speak up against sin and call the people to repentance. Abortion is murder. Homosexuality is sin… Any religion which would profess anything other than this truth is of the devil.”
Stand Up Florida calls the church an “enemy of diversity and equality.”
The demonstrators plan to meet at 9 a.m. in the parking lot of the Red Roof Inn and then head over to the church from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. to spread a message of hope and tolerance.

Perhaps the felt like having the word "gay" in the title was redundant because there was already the word "Pride" which implies a heavy gay ...
