Gus Kenworthy and his boyfriend Matthew Wilkas were caught candidly kissing by cameras during a broadcast of a qualifying run at the Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea. This was the first time a gay kiss involving an Olympian was televised.

Kenworthy, who placed 12th in his final run, didn’t realize his kiss with his boyfriend was going to be broadcast around the world but explained that it was monumental for him. According to Kenworthy, he had wanted to kiss his boyfriend during the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics but didn’t because he was closeted.

Canadian Eric Radford has made history as the first openly gay athlete to win gold at the Winter Olympics.

Radford, 33, and his partner Meagan Duhamel won the medal for team figure skating for their free skate to “Hometown Glory” by Adele. The first ever openly gay athlete to win gold was Australian diver Matthew Mitcham who received the honor at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.

On Super Bowl Sunday, a group of Philadelphia Eagles fans wandered into the Eagle Bolt Bar, a bar in downtown Minneapolis, thinking it was the perfect place to catch the game. However, instead of a Philadelphia Eagles fan bar the group found themselves in a gay bar.

Regular patrons found it amusing that the fans didn’t seem to realize where they were.

WEEI has suspended Alex Reimer, an occasional host of the sports radio show “Kirk & Callahan” after Reimer called New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady’s five-year-old daughter Vivian “an annoying little pissant.”

Reimer, who came out as gay in 2016, made the comment on a different WEEI radio show about the documentary “Tom vs. Time” which featured Brady, his wife Gisele Bündchen and their daughter.
