Disney releases new rainbow collection ahead of Pride month

ORLANDO | Disney released a new series of LGBTQ-themed items ahead of Pride month this June.

The items — collectively called the Rainbow Disney Collection — include T-shirts, hats, pins, jewelry, dolls and more featuring rainbow colors along with Disney mascot Mickey Mouse.

The items range in price from $6.95 for a Mickey Mouse button set up to a $150 for a Fantasyland Castle necklace by CRISLU. The entire collection features more than 30 items.

Disney announced that 10% from all Rainbow Disney Collection purchased made from now until June 30 will be donated to GLSEN, an education organization that works to crate safe and inclusive K-12 schools for LGBTQ students.

Disney first announced a Rainbow Disney Collection in May 2018 that included T-shirts, hats, sunglasses, water bottles, pins and a fanny pack. A month before announcing the collection, Disney release LGBTQ Pride Mickey Mouse ears that were sold in the Disney theme parks.

Disney’s 2019 Rainbow Disney Collection is available for purchase at ShopDisney.com.
