YouTuber Jeffree Star says $2.5 million worth of cosmetics stolen from his warehouse

YouTuber and makeup mogul Jeffree Star says that $2.5 million worth of cosmetics were stolen from one of his warehouses in Los Angeles during a heist on March 16.

Star shared the news in a YouTube video posted on April 2.

“This is my biggest hit as a brand. I am still shocked about the entire thing,” Star told viewers.

TMZ reports that the burglars appeared to cut a hole in the roof of the warehouse to gain entry. The burglars allegedly stole $2.5 million worth of cosmetics including Star’s unreleased Magic Star concealer. The concealer appeared on Facebook’s marketplace soon after the robbery.

Star continued on that “I think that it was someone who temporarily worked there who tipped them off. I am so horrified that someone knew [the facility] wasn’t secure enough yet, and they hit us really hard. They came in through the roof. It was a very professional job. It was a team of people. And when you watch footage of this stuff, it is so gut-wrenching to see people just take your shit and put it in a truck and steal something that I’ve been working on for so long. I don’t even know how to explain it.”

According to Star, the FBI are investigating the robbery.
