WATCH: Actress Ellen Page calls out Vice President Mike Pence for anti-LGBTQ views

Out actress Ellen Page stopped by “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” Jan. 31 to promote her new Netflix original series “The Umbrella Academy.”

During the interview, Page expressed her concerns with how the media is handling LGBTQ issues, treating them as debates rather than actual problems.

Page called out Vice President Mike Pence for “wishing she didn’t have the love with her wife” because of his anti-gay views and his support for conversion therapy.

“Connect the dots, this is what happens,” Page said. “If you are in a position of power, and you hate people, and you want to cause suffering to them, you go through the trouble, you spend your career trying to cause suffering, what do you think is going to happen?

“I have traveled the world and I have met the most marginalized people you could meet. I am lucky to have this time and the privilege to say this,” Page continued. “This needs to f**king stop!”
