There is just one day remaining in the Chubbies Shorts male model contest, and Philadelphia’s Kedzie “The One True Water-Type Gym Leader” Teller is the only openly LGBTQ contestant left in the race.
Teller is a 2-time gold medalist for the United States Quidditch national team and is vying to switch his broom for a pair of Chubbies and a modeling contract. He applied to the national contest earlier this year and was named one of the 20 finalists by Chubbies earlier this month.
The power has now shifted to the customers and fans of Chubbies. The winners of the Chubbies fan vote will receive a lifetime supply of the shorts and a two-year modeling contract.
“Jokes and goofiness aside, I want to join the Chubbies team to represent the LGBTQ+ community in a brand that so many already love and embrace. Thigh liberation for ALL,” Teller says.
As of Friday morning, Teller is a few hundred votes behind first place in the final push of the contest that ends tomorrow at 11:59 PT.
