“Transparent” writers are considering writing its star Jeffrey Tambor out of season five in the wake of Amazon’s investigation into a sexual misconduct allegation against Tambor.

Deadline reports that series creator Jill Soloway and the “Transparent” writing team are looking at options to write Maura Pfefferman (Tambor) off the show. Writers are also debating changing the title of the show.

Amazon is investigating an alleged sexual harassment claim against Tambor by his former assistant and transgender actress, Van Barnes. Tambor has “adamantly and vehemently” denied the claim. Details of the sexual harassment allegation have not been revealed.

Soloway stated that the “Transparent” cast and crew are “cooperating with the investigation into this matter.”
