Despite the public announcement he was retiring in Jan. 2018, LGBTQ Ally and multi-WAVE award winner, Jim Philips recently announced he was sticking around as the host of “The Philips Phile” for at least one more year.
The show will keep the same format with the exception they will only be on the air Monday thru Thursday in the 3:00 -7:00 p.m. slot.
Unrelated to his extension, Jim Phillips was also presented with The Debbie Simmons Award by his friend and movie reviewing guest, Michael Wanzie.
Michael shared his thoughts on Facebook after Jim received the award, “In recognition of his early and continued unwavering – vocal – and significant support of Central Florida’s LGBTQ+ community as the greatest straight ally”. We couldn’t agree more. Congratulations to Jim Philips and we look forward to hearing the Phile for one more year!
