2016 PRIDE GALA Business Awards to name Community Champion

The Metropolitan Business Association (MBA) and Come Out With Pride will be recognizing the best in local business at the 2016 PRIDE GALA Business Awards at the Sheraton Orlando North August 19.

The awards will be presented by Florida business persons during an full course dinner. The Gala also includes a pre-dinner reception, a silent auction, an after-party on-site and a next-day poolside brunch with cocktails.

Awards are given in six categories; Business Man of the Year, Business Woman of the Year, Corporate Alley of the Year, New Business of the Year, Non-Profit of the Year and Small Business of the Year.

Watermark Publishing Group owner and publisher Rick Claggett is among the nominees for Business Man of the Year.

An additional award will be presented to the MBA’s Community Champion. The nominees for Community Champion are Echo Interaction Group’s CEO Carlos Carbonell, City Commissioner Patty Sheehan and GLBT Center board president Tim Vargas.
