The Pastor Protection Act, filed in August by Republican Rep. Scott Plakon to make it illegal to sue churches that refuse to perform same-sex weddings, goes for a vote before the House Civil Justice subcommittee Oct. 7.
HB43 is unnecessary, because pastors can’t be forced to perform same-sex marriages anyway.
