Hillary Clinton releases marriage equality video

Marriage equality is expected to be ruled on by the Supreme Court by the week’s end and Hillary Clinton wants everyone to know before the decision is announced that she stands with the LGBT community.

In a video just released by her campaign, Clinton gives a speech on how gay rights are human rights voiced over video clips of same-sex marriages and proposals.

“Some have suggested that gay rights and human rights are separate and distinct. But, in fact they are one and the same,” Clinton said. “Being LGBT does not make you less human and that is why gay rights are human rights and human rights are gay rights.”

The Supreme Court is scheduled to release opinions on June 25, 26 and 29. Obergefell v. Hodges, the case ruling on state bans against same-sex marriage, will be released one of those three days.
