Robin Williams stars in gay-themed “Boulevard” for final onscreen performance

The trailer for Boulevard, Robin Williams’ final onscreen performance, has been released and appears to offer up his dramatic side as seen in previous award-winning films Dead Poets Society and Good Will Hunting.

The late actor portrays a man late in life who befriends a young, gay street hustler. Their friendship leads Williams’ character to deal with his own issues with sexual identity.

Williams was no stranger to LGBT-themed movies playing gay in The Birdcage in 1996.

The film originally played in 2014 at the Tribeca Film Festival and will be released July 10.
