What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, except for the story of two best friends who attend Desert Oasis High School.
Prom was coming up for students Anthony Martinez and Jacob Lescenski, gay and straight respectively, yet both of them were dateless for the event. Upon seeing that his BFF was feeling down about the situation, Lesenski decided to ask him out himself.
“You’re hella gay, I’m hella str8, but you’re like my brother, so be my d8” read the sign that Jacob used for the prom proposal.
The response was a joyful yes, with pictures on social media showing them smiling and embracing after Anthony’s response.
“He’s my best friend, and a real man given the fact he has the guts to fulfill my gay student council dream of always helping out planning dances, and never getting asked,” said Martinez on his Tumblr account. “I couldn’t ask for a better person in my life.”
The prom invitation has since gone viral, with photos gaining approximately 3,700 retweets and 7,600 favorites.
