Madonna took to Instagram on March 18 to react to recent comments made by fashion designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana about the traditional family and in vitro fertilization. Madonna, who previously worked with Dolce and Gabbana, used an image from a campaign with Dolce and Gabbana in 2010 in which she holds a baby.

Madonna wrote with the photo, “All babies contain a soul however they come to this earth and their families. There is nothing synthetic about a soul!! So how can we dismiss IVF and surrogacy?
