Two more Florida county commissions have voted to file an amicus brief in support of marriage equality in a Florida court case fighting for same-sex marriage.

On Nov. 17, the Alachua County Commissioners voted to sign onto the brief, making them the first North Florida county to do so.

The same evening, Palm Beach County Commissioners voted 6-1 to sign onto the brief.

The cities of Miami Beach, Orlando, Tampa, St. Petersburg, Gainesville, Tallahassee and Wilton Manors have approved similar measures, as have Orange County, Broward County and the Village of Biscayne Park.
