The GLBT Center of Central Florida, Inc. has a new head honcho.

Terry DeCarlo, Director of Marketing, Public Relations and Events at Broward House in Ft. Lauderdale, has been hired as Executive Director of The Center.

“I am posting today to let you all know that I have been offered, and accepted, the position of Executive Director of the Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Orlando, an absolutely amazing agency in Central Florida,” DeCarlo posted to his Facebook page. “I cannot thank their board of directors enough for having the faith and confidence in me to take the reigns of the center and escalate it to the next level; it is a challenge I am definitely up for, and accept.”

Broward House is a non-profit social services organization based on Ft. Lauderdale that helps people with HIV/AIDS and other health concerns.

It’s not yet clear when DeCarlo will start his new role. Leadership at The Center and DeCarlo have not yet returned calls for comment.
