GIW Out for Laughs Comedy Show 2014

LGBTQ activist and comedian Dana Goldberg, who was voted “One of the Top 5 Funniest Comedians in America” by Curve magazine, was a last-minute substitution. Suzanne Westenhoefer was originally scheduled to perform, but she is recovering from an accident and her doctor would not give her clearance to fly. She’s expected to make a full recovery.

When Goldberg took the stage, it was pure laughter and smiles throughout the packed audience. Goldberg shared her stories about her dating experiences and the difficulties of being a Jewish lesbian and having a girlfriend whose parents live in a place called “German Town.” And of course Goldberg couldn’t resist saying something about the only present male in the room who happened to be straight. Goldberg tells the comical and realistic truth of a lesbian’s life and knows how to connect with everyone in the audience. She made some laugh hard enough to almost fall out of their seats.

Dani Campbell, an LGBTQ activist who appeared on “A Shot of Love with Tila Tequila,” introduced Goldberg.
