Carrabba’s customers leave insane anti-gay message in lieu of tip

OVERLAND PARK, KS. – A server at a Kansas Carrabba’s Italian Grill received an unpleasant surprise when he went to collect a check – his customers left an anti-gay message on the bill, instead.

Read the message after the jump:

According to The New Civil Rights Movement, the message read:

“Thank you for your service, it was excellent. That being said, we cannot in good conscience tip you, for your homosexual lifestyle is an affront to GOD. Queers do not share in the wealth of GOD, and you will not share in ours.

We hope you will see the tip your fag choices made you lose out on, and plan accordingly. It is never too late for GOD’S love, but none shall be spared for fags. May GOD have mercy on you.”

Since news of the message broke, patrons have rallied in support of the server, with many coming to the restaurant and specifically asking to be seated in his section. According to KCTV, the server is 20 years old and his mother also works at the same restaurant, as a server. So far, neither have commented on camera and their names have not been released.

Several local Kansas media outlets have released a statement from the server, which reads:

“The offers to help pay me back are much appreciated, but not at all needed. I’d prefer to let my work ethic and my service do the talking, nothing else.”
