Equality Florida will announce a statewide call to action on marriage equality.
They’ll discuss “Get Engaged!” in a phone call with media representatives on Wednesday, June 19.
Gay Floridians will be unable to marry, even if the U.S. Supreme Court strikes down the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). Florida has a constitutional amendment in place that bans same-sex marriage. Executive Director Nadine Smith will announce details of the launch. Equality Florida is a civil rights organization dedicated to securing full equality for Florida’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.
