Issue 20.10: Boy Scouts

Be Prepared…for bias: The Boy Scouts’ proposed policy gives the hook to gay Scoutmasters, GSA still challenged in Lake County, Harvey Milk Fest returns to Sarasota, local news, celebrity interviews, and much, much more!

Watermark Issue 20.10// May 9-22, 2013

On the Cover: The Boy Scouts of America could vote to allow gay scouts, but ban gay adult Scoutmasters, who get the hook in this satire illustration of Boys Life Magazine, the official publication of the Boy Scouts of America. Many former scouts say the new policy won’t go far enough and will only encourage scouts to stay in the closet. Illustration by Jake Stevens
