More than 40 professional athletes signed the Athletes Brief, designed to show the Surpreme Court the growing support in sports for same-sex marriage. The court heard arguments about the constitutionality of Proposition 8, a law passed in California outlawing same-sex marriages, and a portion of the Defense of Marriage Act, which prevent the federal government from recognizing gay unions in states where they are legal.
Notables on the list include Chris Kluwe and Brendan Ayanbadejo, Scott Fujita, Pkey CHatman, Sean Avery and Wade Davis.
Also on the list is athlete ally Hudson Taylor.
