MBA elects board members
At their midterm elections, the Metropolitan Business Association (MBA) confirmed Mikeal Audebert as MBA vice president following an interim assignment to the role. The MBA also re-elected Fredrick Eriksson as treasurer, Jason Holstein as marketing and communications director and Troy Cochran as technology director. New board members are Brian Gilvin, corporate development director, and Michael Wallman, board member at large.

Date set for AIDS Walk Orlando
The Hope and Help Center of Central Florida announced that the 2011 AIDS Walk is Saturday, April 9, at Lake Eola. The annual event benefits Hope and Help, Central Florida’s largest AIDS service organization. Teams of walkers work to raise money, with awards for the biggest fundraisers. Team and individual registration is now open at AIDSWalkOrlando.org.

Film fest seeking entries
The Central Florida Film Festival is now accepting entries in the categories of features, shorts, documentaries, and student projects. The festival is put on every year over Labor Day weekend at West Orange 5 Cinemas in Ocoee. Winning filmmakers receive a plaque and cash prizes.
