The Metropolitan Business Association (MBA) is seeking vintage photos of the organization for a historical archive. MBA member Debbie Simmons was the founding president when the organization began in 1992 and led the organization for 16 years. She said already has some photos, but is certain there are more.
“I know that there are a zillion photos out there and what’s going to happen to them?” she said. “We don’t want them thrown out.”
The plan is to gather photographs for submission into MBA/Come Out with Pride history project, displayed in an air-conditioned tent during each Pride event.
“We want to capture and maintain our own history,” Simmons said.
Anyone who has old photos of the MBA is welcome to bring them to her Orlando shop. Just call 407-765-6490 to set up a time to meet.
