Tires slashed at Revolution nightclub

Police are investigating vandalism to at least two dozen cars parked near Revolution nightclub.

According to a report from the Orlando Police Department, on Jan. 19, during the club’s weekly “Noche Latina” night, someone slashed or let the air out of several dozen car tires. All of the vehicles were parked in the Revolution parking lot or on the street nearby and the crime happened sometime between 1:30 a.m. and 2:16 a.m. No suspect descriptions were provided and the case is ongoing, but it has been forwarded to the state Criminal Investigation Department for more investigation.

OPD Sergeant Barb Jones said a hate crime determination is pending an arrest, because there’s no way currently to know the motivation behind the crime. It’s currently classified as “criminal mischief.” She said a 21-year-old woman first discovered the crime while leaving Revolution, and the other victims have opted to file online. Therefore, they don’t yet have a complete count of cars damaged, but the report will be updated later.
